CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 23-050 <br />A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE ST ANTHONY- NEW BRIGHTON <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT 282 REFERENDUM FOR ADDITIONAL OPERATING LEVY <br />AUTHORITY AND A RENEWAL OF THE CURRICULUM AND TECHNOLOGY <br />CAPITAL PROJECT LEVY <br />WHEREAS, in, 1959, the University of Minnesota recommended establishing a high school in <br />District 282 for the Saint Anthony students; and <br />WHEREAS, by this expansion in 1961 it built, located, and operated a kindergarten, primary, <br />middle and high school in Saint Anthony Village; and <br />WHEREAS, this school district has, over the many years, been the recipient of scores of <br />awards for excellence in education, sports, and cultural activities; and <br />WHEREAS, over the years it has become an essential asset and community partner with civic, <br />business and governmental entities; and <br />WHEREAS, the collaborative spirit exhibited by ISD 282 throughout the years by actively <br />contributing to the overall well-being of the community; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Anthony <br />affirms that a strong school system in an integral part of a vibrant community and adequate <br />funding is necessary for the school district to fulfill their mission. <br />Adopted this 26' day of September, 2023. <br />Randy Stillkpayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Cit3vClerk <br />Reviewed for Administration: <br />Char ie Yunker, City Manager <br />
