CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 23-057 <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW PLAYGROUND STRUCTURE AND PLAY <br />SURFACE AT SILVER POINT PARK <br />WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Parks and Environmental Committee (PEC) recommends the replacement of <br />an aging and non-ADA compliant play structure and play surface at Silver Point Park; and <br />WHEREAS, a proposal was submitted by Minnesota and Wisconsin Playground and discussed at the PEC <br />meeting on September 18, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal includes replacement of the existing structure with the addition of increased <br />accessibility over and above ADA standards and the addition of a swing set; and <br />WHEREAS, the expenditure is budgeted and a grant has been submitted to assist in the funding for the <br />project, and additional grant opportunities are also being pursued. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village approves the <br />purchase of a new playground structure and play surface at Silver Point Park. <br />Adopted this 10' day of October, 2023. <br />R d Stille, ayor <br />ATTEST: <br />+Cy lerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />
