Motion carried 4-0-1 (Abstain — Webster). B. Resolution 23-051 — Approving a Special Event Permit at City Hall on October 15, 2033. Thomas Brever reviewed the Council is requested to consider a resolution to approve a special event permit request from St. Anthony Kiwanis to hold a fundraiser on October 15, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. Staff has created a special event permit to facilitate gathering event information, department head reviews of event and staff recommendations to the City Council. The special event permit is used if the event fits one or more of the following criteria: • Expected attendance of more than 100 people and open to the general public. • Event is requesting the use of city property and/or street closures. • There will be amplified live or pre-recorded music. • There will be the sale of alcoholic beverages. The applicant is seeking permission to host an event at City Hall which will include being held on City property and the sale of alcoholic beverages. Staff has reviewed the application and recommends approval. Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Randle, for approval of Resolution 23-051 — Approving a Special Event Permit at City Hall on October 15, 2033. Motion carried 5-0. VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. City Manager Yunker had no report. Councilmember Webster stated she attended the North Suburban Communications Commissions and North Suburban Access Commission Meetings on September 18, 2023.
