I’m happy with the city’s sustainability programs. <br />Solar street lights, solar powered schools and public buildings, electric vehicle charging stations, <br />water conservation, herbicide, pesticide & ice melt use reduction <br />Make the city more bike friendly <br />Improve non-car transportation modes to reduce resident Vehicle Miles Traveled <br />Not sure. Require removal of dead trees, debris in case of fires. Plant trees. <br />Increase biking and walking by providing more sidewalks, crosswalks and bikeways. <br />Education on climate change and solutions/ideas in which we can help. <br />alternative modes of transportation (non-motorized) needs to be prioritized for St Anthony. The city <br />lacks bicycle only lanes/ barricades which makes the city streets dangerous for cyclists. All border <br />cities have bike lanes that isolate car traffic from bike/foot traffic. Add more sites to drop food scraps , especially in <br />larger condo and apartment buildings . <br />Encourage alternative energy sources through tax incentives. Encourage alternatives to lawns in <br />yards. Support recycling and composting.
