Eliminate lawn and do wildflower garden, walk more instead of drive. Keep AC at 78 degrees in <br />summer. <br />Work towards lowering my own carbon footprint . <br />Improve public transit - restore 25 bus service to pre -pandemic levels <br />Solar energy <br />Rapid energy decarbonization: eliminate fossil fuel use on all but the coldest days <br />Reduce use of disposable plastics/containers from foods, detergents. Decrease driving, carpool, <br />errands when in area. <br />Encourage walking/cycling for short trips by having safer bike and pedestrian facilities <br />Encourage walking more, holding onto your cell phone for an extra year, bringing reusable bags to <br />shop. Simple things that add up. <br />invest in safer bike/walking infrastructure to encourage alternative modes of transportation. invest <br />in electric vehicles for official use <br />walk or bike to school, grocery store, coffee shop. We live in a small community. This should be very <br />easy to do with good city planning. <br />Pick up Compost bins, grants for pollinator gardens/native plants <br />Have more EV charging stations, encourage residents and businesses to update their landscaping to <br />be native plants to help conserve water and improve water drainage. <br />I would like to walk more, but we lack sidewalks! I don’t feel safe letting my kids walk or bike to <br />school because of the lack of safe pathways. We need compost pick up. <br />Electrify our heating source, switch to electric vehicle, attend workshops about what actions to take <br />first <br />Curbside composting. More walkable <br />Reduce driving by favoring local businesses and consolidating trips. <br />Electric cars, reduction of allowable lawn chemicals <br />Compost , have lawns that don't require much watering, hybrid cars, electric cars, <br />Continue to reuse, compost and recycle in that order to reduce garbage. Consider purchase of an <br />electric vehicle. Food oriented business consider compostable containers verses plastic, especially <br />black plastic. Minimize vehicle use by consolidating errands and appointments. <br />limit driving, continue composting and recycling, prioritize efficiency when replacing appliances <br />Utilize curbside compost <br />I am a firm believer in recycling, taking care of all natural resources, etc. <br />Again, emissions should be dealt with along with trees & nature planted & cared for able to do “their <br />intended” in creation for balance. <br />Use less water and recycle food scraps. <br />Drive an electric vehicle. Push for solar panels to be installed on our condo roof. Support and <br />encourage recycling and composting. <br />Continue my own recycling and composting.
