If you selected other in the above question, please specif y
My family has already done the above with our home.
I'm willing to do anything I can. I'm a retired senior living a 55+ apartment complex.
We need information sessions. Many of us have no idea what our options might be
I don't think the climate is an issue.
If/when these types of changes make financial sense for me I may consider investing in them but I
will not make changes based on "helping to save the environment" as I do no believe making these
changes will have a direct impact on climate change. Nor do I believe that climate change is
inherently a bad thing or that humankind can control the climate by making these kinds of changes.
I do not believe that changing from gas to all electric is the answer. We need to use all available
sources of energy ( coal, wind solar &Nuclear)
I will only consider making these changes if and when it becomes financially feasible and affordable.
Before I would do any of the above, I would need to have some concrete evidence that these options
make a difference and are cost effective for my family. I love my gas appliances and especially my
gas cook top So many of these ideas are government driven, and the media buys into it . I believe
there is a herd mentality with climate change. California is a good example - they are passing
unbelievable laws!
We are looking into planting a pollinator yard.
switch to solar powered wherever possible as well
Note: we have already done most of these things
I rent , my appliances are all electric with the exception of centralized gas heating. The landlord is
responsible for lawn maintenance and their vendor uses old gas powered lawn mowers & blowers
that are both loud and emit fuel fumes and odors. Over the years I've kept diligence in reducing
waste, it's an accompanying benefit of responsible spending.
I will clean up a er myself as far as garbage. beyond that I will not do anything else.
I am not willing.
I don't want to be told how to live.
Some of the above would require financial help.
None of these actions will make any significant impact to our climate, but could add thousands of
dollars per household in new expenses.
(Have already switched all yard equipment including snowblower to battery-powered; already am a
solar farm subscriber)
Eat less meat/support sustainable businesses and farms
Already doing all of the above that I can do
Keep yard clean and maintained to avoid energy use necessary for a huge clean up endeavour.
We already do most of these things.
Again, please provide measurable outcomes for each of the projposed actions
Educate residents on how to plant and maintain drought resistant lawns and gardens
We have done spray foam insulation in garage & basement of home. We did new jell insulation in
walls of house on main floor. We did more insulation in attic of house. We are looking at installing
solar panels on roof of house.
Stop using toxic chemicals and pesticides.
As a OLDER and long term resident , i do not wish to be the one to keep supporting those who take
advantage and use our small community of what once was.. Question posed. "Why is it that the many
Columbia Heights residents attend St Anthony high school?
Are there options for people in apartments?
If we still owned a home we would have a renewable energy system installed and switch to all
electric powered equipment .
