ANTHONY <br />2 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />3 AUGUST 15, 2023 <br />4 7:00 p.m. <br />5 <br />6 CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 <br />8 Vice Chair Morita called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />10 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />11 <br />12 Vice Chair Morita invited the Commission and the audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />13 <br />14 ROLL CALL. <br />15 <br />16 Commissioners Present:Vice Chair Morita, Commissioners Erickson, Kuykendall, and Rude. <br />17 <br />18 Absent:Chair Socha, and Commissioners Gaveske and Hendrickson <br />19 <br />20 Also Present: City Planner Stephen Grittman, Assistant to the City Manager Nicole <br />21 Miller and Student Liaison Alayna Peterson <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 I.APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 15, 2023 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />25 AGENDA. <br />26 <br />27 Motion by Commissioner Erickson, seconded by Commissioner Rude, to approve the August <br />28 15, 2023, Regular Planning Commission Meeting Agenda. <br />29 <br />30 Motion carried 4-0. <br />31 <br />32 II.APPROVAL OF THE JULY 18, 2023, REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION <br />33 MEETING MINUTES. <br />34 <br />35 Motion by Commissioner Rude, seconded by Commissioner Erickson, to approve the July 18, <br />36 2023, Regular Planning Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. <br />37 <br />38 Motion carried 4-0. <br />39 <br />40 III.PUBLIC HEARING. <br />41 <br />A.42 CUP – 3312 Silver Lake Road. <br />43 <br />44 Vice Chair Morita opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. <br />45 <br />46 City Planner Steven Grittman reviewed the applicant, Nativity Lutheran Church, is proposing <br />47 to upgrade an existing ground sign for message displays located at 3312 Silver Lake Road. <br />48 Mr. Grittman indicated the location on a map. The ground sign would be located along the <br />49 east side of the building, adjacent to Silver Lake Road in the location of the current sign.
