City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Minutes <br />November 14, 2023 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council: <br />Randy Stille, Mayor, Bernard Walker, Jan Jenson, Thomas Randle, Wendy Webster, Councilmembers <br />Staff: <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Call to Order: <br />Mayor Stille called the Work Session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />Climate Plan Action Steps: <br />Staff presented the additional action steps received since the City Council and the Parks & <br />Environmental Commission (PEC) met jointly to review the draft Climate Plan. The Council and <br />Commission was asked to send any changes or additions to staff before bringing the final draft to the <br />PEC on December 4, 2023, and then to the City Council for final approval on December 12, 2023. <br />However, given the number of new action steps staff brought these to the Council for review to identify <br />any concerns before the final review and approval. <br />Council discussed and did not identify any concerns over particular action steps, but did make some <br />verbiage adjustments to two of the steps to allow for flexibility in approach, and moved one from a <br />policy level action step to a community education level action step. Staff will also define the term <br />‘Action Step’ as items for Council and staff to consider and examine for future determination on the <br />actual action to be taken. <br />All of the new action steps and term definition will be included in the final draft of the Climate Plan to be <br />reviewed by the PEC on December 4, 2023, and approved by the City Council on December 12, 2023. <br />Future Work Sessions: <br />Next Work Session will be held on November 28th, 2023, at 5:45pm in the Council Chambers. <br />Adjournment: <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted by Charlie Yunker, City Manager. <br />3
