REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION To:Saint Anthony Village City Council From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager Date:November 28, 2023 City Council Meeting Resolution:Approving the 2024 Agreement between the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 49 AFL-CIO Representing the Saint Anthony Public Works Department Employees and the City of Saint Anthony Village BACKGROUND For your approval is a resolution approving the Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA) and market adjustment for Police Officers. A three (3) year contract with the St. Anthony Fire Department, Police Department, and Public Works Department’s employees was approved in 2021 which included a reopener for wages in the third year. Health insurance premium changes will be split equally between City and employees. The union agreed to a 3.50% COLA increase, as was anticipated during the budget and levy discussions in preparation for the preliminary levy approval on September 12, 2023.
