ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 NOVEMBER 28, 2023 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Stille called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Stille invited the Council and audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Stille, Councilmembers Jenson, Walker, and Webster. <br />16 <br />17 Absent:Councilmember Randle <br />18 <br />19 Also Present:City Manager Charlie Yunker, Fire Captain Mattie Jaros, City Engineer Justin <br />20 Messner, and City Planner Steve Grittman. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />24 ITEMS. <br />25 <br />I.26 APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 28, 2023 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />27 <br />28 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Walker, to approve the City <br />29 Council Meeting Agenda of November 28, 2023 as presented. <br />30 <br />31 Motion carried 4-0. <br />32 <br />33 II.PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITION. <br />34 <br />A.35 2023 Fire Prevention Poster Winners. <br />36 <br />37 Fire Captain Mattie Jaros reviewed the Fire Prevention training provided to the schools and <br />38 presented the 2023 Fire Prevention Poster Winners. The theme this year was Cooking Safety <br />39 Starts With You. The 4th Place winner was Isabel Montoya from St. Charles. The 3rd Place <br />40 winner was Bernadette Urdahl from St. Charles. The 2nd Place winner was Grace Nelson from <br />41 Wilshire. The 1st Place winner was Josie Johnson from St. Charles. <br />42 <br />43 Santa on the Fire Truck will be held December 10,12,13 starting at 5:30 p.m. each evening. <br />44 Donations for Toys for Tots will be accepted along with donations for Nourish 282. <br />45 <br />B.46 Fire Chief Swearing In – Izzy Diaz. <br />47 <br />7
