One <br />example would be to refund residents the cost of <br />their home audit if they address a certain number <br />of inefficiencies iden�fied in the home audit. <br />Examine providing low-income residents with <br />financial support in improving home efficiency if a <br />home audit iden�fies significant issues. <br />• Consider adop�ng a sustainable building policy for <br />all new and remodeled construc�on projects. <br />• Discuss par�cipa�ng in Partners in Energy Program <br />and crea�ng an Energy Ac�on Plan. <br />• Subsidize Home Energy Audit for residents who <br />commit to inves�ng in some form of energy <br />efficiency in their homes. <br />Education (Staff) <br />• Distribute educa�onal materials explaining <br />emerging solu�ons to electrify buildings that are <br />currently served with natural gas. <br />• Communicate with rental property managers <br />about improvement opportuni�es to decrease <br />pressure on tenants who may be unable to make <br />substan�al changes. <br />• Promote installa�on of electric hea�ng sources <br />(geothermal, heat pump, water/heat pumps) in <br />new construc�on (homes, housing complexes and <br />business) <br />2024-2029
