Ensure that plans are in place <br />to improve key intersec�ons and routes. <br />• U�lize resident feedback to iden�fy areas <br />throughout the City where pedestrian safety could <br />be improved. Explore ways to improve the safety in <br />these areas. <br />• Evaluate the feasibility of restriping and <br />redesigning streets that are common commuter <br />routes to include a bike lane. <br />• Install or partner with local service organiza�on to <br />install bicycle repair sta�on along a major biking <br />corridor (e.g. diagonal trail) <br />• Create a self repor�ng mechanism for people to <br />track the number of miles they spend biking to <br />work to school and for leisure. <br />Policy (Council & PEC) <br />• Discuss incen�vizing residents to use alterna�ve <br />modes of transporta�on by zoning for limited <br />parking at facili�es and event spaces that have <br />sufficient pedestrian infrastructure connec�ng to <br />exis�ng nearby parking. <br />• Develop a bike and pedestrian plan to develop <br />specific goals and infrastructure opportuni�es and <br />par�cipate in regional planning ini�a�ves. <br />Education (Staff) <br />• Partner with schools and other local organiza�ons <br />to promote bike to school and bike to work days to <br />create awareness and opportunity to get people <br />out of their cars. <br />2024-2027 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
