City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 26, 2024 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Councilmember Doolan congratulated Mr. Larson and Mr. Haugen on the business. The $3.2M <br />2 brought in over the last 10 years is a benefit to the taxpayers. She asked about the uplift that is <br />3 needed for the facilities. Mr. Larson stated it is everything that needs to be done to the building <br />4 that is 20 years old. Mr. Larson stated during COVID many of the municipals didn't know what the future <br />would bring. The goal was to capture the new people coming into the stores and keeping them. <br />Profits and sales have continued at that level since re -opening. <br />B. 2024 Strategic Plan. <br />City Manager Charlie Yunker reviewed the 2024 Strategic Plan Power Point Presentation. The <br />presentation included The Team, the Agenda for the January 17-19, 2024 Meetings, The <br />Accomplishments, The Progression, On the Radar, Pyramid Changes, The 2024 Pyramid, and <br />The Strategic Plan. The Final 2024 Pyramid was provided for Council consideration. Mr. Yunker <br />noted there were not a lot of changes to the Action Steps in the Pyramid. St. Anthony is dealing <br />with same challenges as neighboring cities. More information is available on the City's website. <br />A brochure format has been created also. <br />Councilmember Jenson stated the amount of interaction was greater this year than in the past. <br />Some formatting changes were made to the pyramid which made it more clear. It is more <br />intuitive and easier to understand. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated the experience was a great opportunity for Councilmember <br />Stephens and her to learn about the various departments within the Cities. <br />Mayor Webster stated she appreciates hearing from all the departments and how those align to <br />the legislative priorities. She appreciates the values — service, trust and inclusion. <br />Motion by Councilmember Doolan, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to adopt the 2024 <br />Strategic Plan as presented. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL <br />City Manager Yunker mentioned the posting has been done for the Sustainability Coordinator <br />position with over 20 applicants received thus far. <br />Councilmember Randle had no report. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated on February 15 she attended the Three Rivers Park Board <br />Meeting. March 21 is when the next Board Meeting is to discuss the future of Silverwood Park. <br />On February 22, she attended the Minnesota Cities Climate Coalition. <br />
