ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 MARCH 12, 2024 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Webster called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Webster invited the Council and audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. A moment of <br />12 silence was held for the Burnsville First Responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. <br />13 <br />14 ROLL CALL. <br />15 <br />16 Present: Mayor Webster, Councilmembers Doolan, Jenson, Randle and Stephens. <br />17 <br />18 Absent:None <br />19 <br />20 Also Present:City Manager Charlie Yunker, Police Chief Jeffrey Spiess, Police Captain Michael <br />21 Huddle, Police Sergeant Brandon Hess, City Planner Steve Grittman, and Public <br />22 Works Director Jeremy Gumke. <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />26 ITEMS. <br />27 <br />I.28 APPROVAL OF MARCH 12, 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />29 <br />30 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Doolan, to approve the City <br />31 Council Meeting Agenda of March 12, 2024 as presented. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried 5-0. <br />34 <br />II.35 PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITION. <br />36 <br />A.37 Swearing in of Police Captain – Mike Huddle <br />38 <br />39 Police Chief Spiess stated some background information and administered the Oath of Office to <br />40 Police Captain Michael Huddle. <br />41 <br />B.42 Swearing in of Police Sergeant – Brandon Hess <br />43 <br />44 Police Chief Spiess stated some background information and administered the Oath of Office to <br />45 Police Sergeant Brandon Hess. <br />46 <br />47 Photographs were taken. The Councilmembers and Mayor congratulated Captain Mike Huddle <br />48 and Sergeant Brandon Hess. <br />49 <br />5
