City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 9, 2024 <br />Page 5 <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />D. 2024 Goals Update. <br />City Manager Yunker presented the 2024 Goals Chart highlighting the City's mission and vision, <br />core values of trust, service, and inclusion, list of strategic initiatives, and individual action steps <br />related to each strategic initiative. The challenges facing public safety staffing was further <br />discussed. <br />10 Mayor Webster thanked staff for providing the Council with a detailed overview on the City's <br />11 2024 goals. She stated these goals came out of the Council's three-day goal setting session, <br />12 which was held in January. <br />13 <br />14 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />15 <br />16 Councilmember Stephens stated she attended the Congresswomen Omar's town hall at <br />17 Silverwood. She noted she also attended several trainings and distributed over 70 surveys to <br />18 community members and businesses. She reported she was passionate about creating an <br />19 onboarding procedure with safety features. <br />20 <br />21 Councilmember Jenson stated he attended the Falcon Heights town hall meeting on March 27 <br />22 where the police discussion was explored. He explained on March 28 he attended an NYFS <br />23 board of directors meeting where finances were discussed. He reported he also attended the <br />24 Silverwood Park town hall meeting with Congresswoman Omar on April 4. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Doolan stated on March 27 she met with Three River Parks Commissioner Erin <br />27 Kolb and discussed expanding Silverwood programming into schools. She also attended the <br />28 March 27 town hall meeting at Falcon Heights. She reported on March 28 she attended the <br />29 Minnesota Cities Climate Coalition zoom call that discussed new State funding programs. On <br />30 April 1 she attended a Chamber of Commerce meeting where officers were elected. She <br />31 indicated on April 4 she met with David Donovan at Silverwood Park to discuss requests from <br />32 teachers. She also attended the April 4 Congresswoman Omar town hall and on April 6, she <br />33 attended a CFS meeting where Earth Day events were discussed. She noted on April 7 she <br />34 attended a community engagement event. <br />35 <br />36 Mayor Webster stated on April 4 she welcomed attendees to Congresswomen Omar's town hall <br />37 event at Silverwood Park. On April 7 she met with members of the Faith United Methodist <br />38 Church where she provided a State of the City address and encouraged those in attendance <br />39 provide feedback on the policing partnership with Falcon Heights. She stated on April 8 she <br />40 attended the Regional Council of Mayor's meeting where discussions focused on public safety. <br />41 She noted this group also hosted an hour-long meeting for female mayors where networking and <br />42 support was offered. <br />43 <br />44 VIII.
