MEMORANDUM <br />To:Mayor Webster and St. Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Stephen Grittman, City Planner <br />Date:City Council Meeting of July 9, 2024 <br />GC File No:140-01 – 24.04 <br />Request:Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an electronic (digital display) sign <br />for Boulevard Autoworks at 2801 Kenzie Terrace <br />BACKGROUND AND STAFF/PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />The applicant is proposing to replace an existing freestanding sign with a ground/monument sign with <br />an electronic message display located at 2801 Kenzie Terrace. The ground sign would be located along <br />the area of the parcel adjacent to Kenzie Terrace in the location of the current sign. Because a portion <br />of the sign will include an electronic digital display, the sign requires a Conditional Use Permit pursuant <br />to Section 155.29 of the City’s Sign Ordinance. <br />The Planning Commission considered the item at a public hearing on June 18, 2024. The applicant was <br />present to answer questions. No members of the public submitted comments, nor were any present at <br />the hearing.
