Exhibit 1 <br />Recycling Performance Work Plan <br />Minimum Requirements <br />1. Complete all SCORE requirements, including reporting on time and submitting a mid-year status report along <br />with a final narrative report. <br /> <br />2. Provide outreach to all residents about the municipality’s recycling program and submit copies of materials to <br />Ramsey County. <br /> <br />3. Use Ramsey County materials and information when and where appropriate to promote increased recycling, <br />reuse, and repair (e.g., Fix-it Clinics), medicine collection, household hazardous waste, organic waste and yard <br />waste participation. <br /> <br />a. Send materials to Ramsey County for review prior to distribution. <br />b. Include county contact information on materials: <br />i. 24/7 Recycling & Disposal Hotline: 651-633-EASY (3279) <br />ii. RamseyRecycles.com <br />c. Provide links to the Ramsey County web pages on municipality website. <br /> <br />4. Regularly update recycling content on the municipality’s website. <br /> <br />5. Promote BizRecycling resources to businesses and Multi-unit Recycling. <br /> <br />6. Use hauler data to identify those not recycling and target educational materials. <br /> <br />7. Ensure all multi-unit properties are meeting State law requirements to recycle and are receiving free Ramsey <br />County resources. <br /> <br />8. Increase opportunities for recycling in public spaces. <br />a. All recycling bins must be paired with a trash bin and in good condition. <br />b. Labels must be readable. <br />c. Promote Ramsey County’s event container lending program and green event planning tips. <br />d. <br />9. Enforce recycling contracts, including the assessment of penalties for non-compliance. <br />a. Audit reporting by obtaining hauler weight tickets. <br />b. Have labels replaced if not readable. <br /> <br />10. Work with Ramsey County to educate and move toward Food Scraps Pick up Program for all residents. <br /> <br />11. Attend County Recycling Coordinator meetings and attend a yearly composition study. <br /> <br />Additional Incentive Activities Approved improve recycling, reuse, repair, reduce and rot. <br />
