CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 24-077 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE TO APPLY FOR <br />THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES 2025 PRIVATE <br />PROPERTY I/I GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) has identified the City of St. <br />Anthony Village as one of the many metro cities having excessive quantities of <br />stormwater and groundwater, commonly referred to as Inflow and Infiltration (I&I), <br />entering the public sanitary sewer system; and <br />WHEREAS, to facilitate the reduction of I&I, MCES is offering a provision for future distribution of <br />available funding until the total is $1,500,000 for the State of Minnesota has been <br />expended on I&I reduction measures; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Sewer Utility has identified private sanitary sewer system components <br />requiring rehabilitation to minimize or eliminate excessive I&I. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of St. Anthony Village that: <br />1) The City is authorized to apply for these grants. <br />2) The City Sustainability Coordinator or their designee is authorized to submit the applications and <br />to serve as the contact person. <br />3) The Council agrees to remit available grant funding towards the continued minimalization or <br />elimination of excessive I&I within the public sanitary sewer system. <br />4) The City will secure and retain receipts for all eligible repairs and that MCES will have <br />reasonable access to audit these records upon request. <br />Adopted this 12' day of November, 2024. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />to .t c tAJ Ie4 <br />Wendy Webster, Mayor <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />
