19 <br /> <br />16. Tool Cat (only during snow removal) <br />17. Any motorized vehicle used while conducting snow removal duties. <br /> <br />C-2 EMPLOYEES assigned by the EMPLOYER to Utility Operator will be paid the wage rate <br /> of the job classification to which the EMPLOYEE is assigned. <br /> <br />C-3 EMPLOYEES assigned by the Employer to perform Mechanic duties will be eligible to <br />receive out of classification pay for hours assigned to those duties. The out of <br />classification pay shall be the current mechanic contract rate. <br /> <br />Out of class work needs to be pre-assigned by the supervisor to be eligible for mechanic <br />pay rate and the supervisor is solely responsible for determination of eligible work in <br />compliance with this memo. Only when maintenance workers are assigned by their <br />supervisor to perform vehicle and equipment repairs and only if it falls within the following <br />qualifying parameters will it qualify for out of class mechanic pay for those assigned <br />hours. <br /> <br />Qualifying work/tasks for out of class Mechanic Pay: <br />1. Mechanical repairs to vehicles and equipment <br />2. Preventative maintenance such as oil changes <br />3. Brake jobs <br />4. Repair welding of vehicles, trailers and equipment <br />5. Fabrication and welding for repair or modification of vehicles, trailers, and equipment <br />6. Performing engine repair or motor tune up work <br />7. Assisting mechanics with shop repair work orders <br />8. Hydraulic repair work <br />9. Repairs to drivetrain <br />10. Electrical troubleshooting <br />11. Work not qualifying for out of class mechanic pay: <br />12. Daily operator maintenance and safety checks of vehicles and equipment <br />13. Hooking and unhooking attachments to vehicles and equipment <br />14. Operator required lubrication of equipment <br />15. Checking and filing of fluids <br />16. Changing of brooms and wear blades except certain difficult to change blades and <br />brooms <br />17. requiring mechanic level tools and expertise as determined by the Supervisor <br />18. Changing or replacement of light bulbs and lenses where electrical troubleshooting is <br />not required. <br />19. CDL required daily inspections <br />20. Other regular wear part replacement such as weed whip string, saw chain or blades <br /> <br />
