ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 NOVEMBER 26, 2024 <br />4 <br />I.5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Wendy Webster called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />II.9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Wendy Webster invited the Council and audience to join her in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />III.13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Webster, Councilmembers Doolan, Elnagdy, Jenson and Randle. <br />16 <br />17 Absent:None <br />18 <br />19 Also Present:City Manager Charlie Yunker and Deputy Fire Chief Mattie Jaros. <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE <br />23 FOLLOWING ITEMS. <br />24 <br />IV.25 APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 26, 2024, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />26 <br />27 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />28 Council Meeting Agenda of November 26, 2024, as presented. <br />29 <br />30 Motion carried 5-0. <br />31 <br />32 V.PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />33 <br />34 Deputy Fire Chief Mattie Jaros presented the Fire Prevention Poster Winners. She reviewed the <br />35 education provided to the students for Fire Prevention. This year’s theme was “Smoke Alarms <br />36 Make Them Work for You”. <br />37 <br />38 Last Year’s Winner was Josie Johnson and she received an Honorable Mention at the State <br />39 Level. This year’s winners were announced and photographs were taken: <br />40 4th Place – Ivory Blaeser – Wilshire Park <br />41 3rd Place – Veronica Urdahl – St. Charles <br />42 2nd Place – Liliana Klement – St. Charles <br />43 1st Place – Claudia Sieve – St. Charles <br />44 <br />45 Mayor Webster thanked the students for their creativity and for participating in the contest. <br />46 <br />47 Santa on the fire truck will be on December 9, 10, 11 at 5:30 p.m. They will be collecting new <br />48 and unwrapped Toys for Tots. The Santa tracker can be found on the City website. Toys can be <br />49 dropped off at the Fire Station before December 12. <br />5
