REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF - NONE. <br />11 <br />12 IX. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />13 <br />14 A. Resolution 24-083 — Approving the Gambling License for the Lake Re 'on Hockey <br />15 Association at the Five Hole Sports Bar and Grill Located at 3701 Stinson Blvd. <br />16 <br />17 City Manager Yunker reviewed the Lake Region Hockey Association secured a lease with the <br />18 Five Hole for gambling that will begin around mid -December 2024. The organization is applying <br />19 for a Premise Permit for gambling with the State of Minnesota. A requirement of the State permit <br />20 application is an acknowledgement by the local unit of government and allowance of gambling <br />21 to take place within City limits. Staff is recommending approval of this Gambling License. <br />22 <br />23 Mr. Jenke, the applicant, provided information about Lake Region Hockey Association. They <br />24 have a board of 15 members. Monies are provided to St. Anthony, Irondale, and Mounds View <br />25 programs. They also donate to Ralph Reder Foodshelf. They are excited to be part of Five Hole. <br />26 <br />27 Councilmember Doolan asked what may be expected there as far as gaming. Mr. Jenke stated <br />28 there are e-tabs and pull tabs. Meat Raffles and Bingo are also held. She stated she appreciates <br />29 the Ralph Reder donations. <br />30 <br />31 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Doolan, to approve Resolution <br />32 24-083 — Approving the Gambling License for the Lake Region Hockey Association at the Five <br />33 Hole Sports Bar and Grill located at 3701 Stinson Blvd. <br />34 <br />35 Motion carried 5-0. <br />36 <br />37 B. Ordinance 2024-07 — Amending Multiple Sections of Chapter 33 Sewer Water License <br />38 and Permit Fees Storm Water Facilities — Second Reading. <br />39 <br />40 City Manager Yunker reviewed a PowerPoint of Utility Rates for 2025. The parameters are to <br />41 align revenue sources with corresponding costs, provide transparency as to the basis of rates and <br />42 rate adjustments, maintain a structurally balanced operation and ensure that rates appropriately <br />43 support the ability to provide safe drinking water, properly discharge sanitary sewer flows, and <br />44 appropriate control and treatment of storm water runoff. <br />45 <br />
