2024 Strategic Plan • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />On the Radar | 7 <br />ON THE RADAR <br />The City Council and City Staff included the issues and ideas in advance of the Goal Setting <br />Session and were included in the materials distributed to all attendees, and available to the public: <br /> <br /> TRENDS AND ISSUES FROM THE CITY COUNCIL <br />For example: <br />▪ PEDESTRIAN SAFETY / TRAFFIC <br />▪ CLIMATE PLAN <br />▪ SERVICES FOR SENIORS <br />▪ COMMUNITY OUTREACH <br />▪ TRANSPARENCY / COMMUNICATION <br />▪ HIGH TAXES <br />▪ CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />▪ HOUSING <br />TRENDS AND ISSUES FROM THE CITY STAFF <br />For example: <br />▪ AGING FACILITIES <br />▪ POLICE OFFICER RECRUITMENT <br />▪ FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC <br />STAFFING <br />▪ CANNABIS LEGISLATION <br />▪ CHANGING DESIRES FOR PARKS <br />AMENITIES <br />▪ WATER SERVICE LINE <br />INVENTORY <br />▪ STREET RECONSTRUCTION <br />SCHEDULE <br /> <br />Many of these items will not appear on the Pyramid itself, however, staff will continue to monitor <br />and take action on these and other topics over the year. The intent of staff to present these for the <br />City Council’s review to address as needed, but also to help inform policy makers of what staff is <br />experiencing in their day-to-day work. <br /> <br />In addition, throughout the session city officials receive additional insights from representatives <br />that are able to attend from the League of Minnesota Cities, the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Insurance Trust, Metro Cities, and another metro area municipalities. <br />
