Review Short-Term Rental Ordinance. <br />2. Review Long-Term Rental Ordinance. <br />3. Consider and provide direction on Affordable Housing initiatives, regulations, and/or <br />policies of interest. <br />4. Review summary of administrative code updates, and identify areas of question or further <br />research for future work session as appropriate. <br /> <br />Background and Update <br />Over the past several months, the City has been studying various aspects of rental housing in <br />the Village, including a broad range of issues and potential objectives for the community’s <br />monitoring and/or regulation of rental housing. <br />The topics have included the following: <br />• Short-term Rentals (Vacation rentals) <br />o For Short-term rentals, the discussion has focused on whether St. Anthony <br />should allow them, make a more explicit prohibition, or other approach, and if <br />allowed, what kinds of limitations should be included in the licensing regulations. <br /> <br />• Long-term Rental v. Ownership ratios <br />o For Long-term rental ratios, the discussion has focused on whether the City <br />wishes to play a role in managing the ratio between ownership and renter- <br />occupied housing, and how that should be accomplished if so. <br /> <br />• Long-term Rentals of Single Family homes <br />5
