Chair Socha referred to the mention of penalty fee. Mr. Grittman stated the issue is 2 <br />if and when the fee would be imposed. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Section 2 – There were no comments from the Commission. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Section 3 – There were no comments from the Commission. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Section 4 – There were no comments from the Commission. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Section 5 – This was deleting reference to the Health Officer and there were no comments 11 <br />from the Commission. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Section 6 – There were no comments from the Commission. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Section 7 – Commissioner Hark asked if there is code for larger storage units and Mr. 16 <br />Grittman stated that would fall into the storage container code. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Section 8 – There were no comments from the Commission. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Section 9 – Commissioner Anderson asked if there was a case there was a sign larger than 6 21 <br />feet where would that be covered. Mr. Grittman stated that would be an illegal sign. The State 22 <br />controls political signs. Commissioner Mayne asked if that limits the ability for the City to 23 <br />enforce the code. The City does not want to be burdened to remove the signs. This came up 24 <br />due to a neighborhood conflict. The intent of the language is not to require the City to remove 25 <br />and dispose of a sign. Chair Socha suggest the Commission see the entire Code and discuss 26 <br />this section further. Mr. Grittman stated staff is investigating the administrative fees more 27 <br />broadly. Mr. Grittman will look at Section 9 further and bring back to a future Commission 28 <br />Meeting for further discussion. Chair Socha polled the Commission, and the consensus was to 29 <br />exempt Section 9 from approval motion. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Section 10 – Mr. Grittman explained the changes made to this section. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Section 11 – This section is adding new language from Section 10. Commissioner Erickson 34 <br />noted he feels handicapped as he did not bring his laptop with him. Mr. Grittman stated in the 35 <br />future he will redline anything being deleted. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Section 12 –Enforcement Officer is being replaced by Compliance Officer. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Section 13 – Chair Socha noted this is quite broad language. Assistant City Manager Morello 40 <br />stated a third party looks at the code and suggests modifications. The Commission asked for 41 <br />information on incidents regarding Conditional Use Permits. There were no recommendations 42 <br />for language changes. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45
