Saint Anthony Village Energy Action Plan 13
During the three-year baseline period (2021–2023), Saint Anthony Village’s overall electricity
consumption increased 2.5%. Electricity consumption in the residential sector increased slightly by 0.5%
during the three-year baseline, while commercial consumption increased by 4.1% (Figure 6). Saint
Anthony Village’s natural gas consumption increased by 7.3% overall during the baseline period, driven
by a 9.4% increase in the commercial and industrial sector and a 5.2% increase in the residential sector
(Figure 7). Total energy consumption during the baseline period varied in each sector consistent with
variation in weather. Hotter summers (those with more cooling degree days) and colder winters (those
with more heating degree days) had higher energy consumption. For example, of the three years
considered, Saint Anthony Village’s natural gas consumption was at its highest level in 2022, which was
also the coldest year with the most heating degree days.
Figure 6.
