COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Ms. Joan Peterson, 3200 Hilldale, thanked the Council for everything they do. She referred to the <br />meeting where Partners in Energy was reviewed. She is not aware of a solid plan on how to <br />recycle solar panels or wind turbines. She referred to electric heated homes, and asked if the City <br />was going to track what type of appliances individual homes plan to use. She feels if the City <br />were to track that, it would be an invasion of privacy. There will be a huge demand for <br />electricity. There have been random outages in St. Anthony in the past few years without a <br />storm. Excel does not have the capacity today. Excel will make billions of dollars on this. Ms. <br />Peterson spoke about the transportation plan. She had a conversation with Councilmember <br />Doolan about getting kids to walk to school. She is disappointed that two Council members <br />endorsed a candidate in the last election. <br />Ms. Sherry Grandrude, St. Anthony Village, has lived here for 40 years. She requested feedback <br />on the Tibyan Center. She was at the City Council meeting six months ago when this was <br />discussed. At that time, it seemed it was not going to "fly". She heard that because of the threat <br />of litigation, there was no option but to approve the Center. She asked why it was on the agenda, <br />but it was not discussed. She would like an update on whether the Tibyan Center is meeting the <br />deadlines posed. <br />XII. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />A. Future Agenda Items. <br />The next Work Session Meeting and Regular Council Meeting will be held on May 13, 2025. <br />Councilmember Doolan reminded all it is Earth Week with a lot of activities planned. There will <br />be a Parks Clean-up on Saturday. <br />Mayor Webster noted the Sister City Organization is celebrating their 40'h Anniversary on April <br />27 at 11:30 a.m. <br />XIII.
