UPCOMING BUDGET MEETINGS <br /> <br />September 9, 2025, City Council Meeting <br />Staff will present the preliminary 2026 Budget and Property Tax Levy to the City Council for approval. At this <br />meeting a resolution will need to be passed certifying the preliminary levy to Hennepin and Ramsey Counties. <br /> <br />October 14, 2025, Council Work Session <br /> Staff will present the proposed 2026 updates to the long-term capital budget plans. <br /> <br />October 28, 2025, Council Work Session <br />Staff will present the proposed 2026 utility rate adjustments and budgets <br /> <br />October 28, 2025, City Council Meeting <br />Staff will present the 2026 long term capital budgets as revised. Requested City Council action will be the <br />approval of 2026 capital levies and long-term plans. <br /> <br />December 9, 2025, City Council Meeting <br />The final presentation of the 2026 Budget and Property Tax Levy (Truth in Taxation) hearing is scheduled and <br />staff will present a recap of the final 2026 Budget and the 2026 Property Tax Levy’s impact on property tax bills. <br /> <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR COUNCIL FEEDBACK <br />Below are the specific items for discussion and feedback for staff: <br /> • Comments on the draŌ 2026 Preliminary Levy & General Fund Budget <br /> Discussion for moving forward with fire staffing requests and offseƫng funding sources <br /> Discussion on setting Preliminary Levy at $10,570,830, and increase of 9.18% at the September 9, 2025 <br />meeting <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />46
