1 <br />CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />ORDINANCE 2025-0X <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 154.179 OF THE CITY CODE TO PROVIDE <br />FOR REGULATIONS RELATED TO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING <br />REQUIREMENTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE HEREBY <br />ORDAINS: <br />Section 1.Section §154.179 (Parking) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 154.179 (Parking) <br />(A)(12) Electric Vehicle Charging. <br />(a) All developments that require new Commercial Parking Lots as <br />defined in this Section, and any existing Commercial Parking Lots being <br />reconstructed that are not exempt under Subp. (b) of this Section, shall <br />include one or more locations to allow for electric vehicle charging. The <br />thresholds for adding EV charging spaces to new developments are as <br />follows in Table (12)(a): <br />EV Charging Space Thresholds <br />No. of New Parking <br />Spaces <br />Required No. of EV Spaces and Level of <br />Charger <br />At least 10 spaces up to <br />29 spaces <br />1 charger at Level 1 or greater <br />30 spaces up to 49 spaces Residential: 5% of spaces at Level 1 or <br />greater; <br />30 spaces up to 49 spaces Non-residential: 2 spaces at Level 2 <br />50 spaces or more Residential: 10% at Level 1 or greater, plus <br />2 spaces at Level 2 or greater <br />50 spaces or more Non-residential: 5% at Level 2 or greater <br />(b) These requirements shall not apply to maintenance of existing parking <br />areas when that maintenance consists only of restriping, seal-coating, <br />patching of less than 25% of the total area of the parking lot, or “mill and <br />overlay” projects. <br />(c) Spaces designated as EV charging spaces shall be included in meeting <br />the property’s required parking quantities per this code. <br />(d) EV charging spaces shall be placed in locations easily accessible to <br />tenants of, or visitors to, the property, and shall be designed so at least one
