MEMORANDUM <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Date:October 14, 2025 <br />Request: Approval of Resolution 25-067 – Special Event Permit for Kiwanis Fall <br />Dinner/Auction on November 2, 2025 <br />BACKGROUND <br />In front of you this evening is a resolution to approve a Special Event Permit request from Saint Anthony <br />Kiwanis to hold a Fall Dinner/Auction on November 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. <br />Staff has created a Special Event Permit to facilitate gathering event information, department head <br />reviews, and staff recommendations to the City Council. The Special Event Permit is required for any <br />public or private event that fits one or more of the following criteria: <br />Expected attendance of more than 100 people <br />Event is requesting the use of city property and/or street closures <br />There will be amplified live or pre-recorded music <br />There will be the consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages <br />The applicant is seeking permission to host their event in the Community Center, which is city property, <br />where alcohol will be consumed. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff has reviewed the application and recommends approval of the Special Event Permit to Saint <br />Anthony Kiwanis. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Special Event Permit Application <br />Certificate of Liability Insurance <br />Resolution 25-067 <br />37
