October 28, 2025 St. Anthony Council Work Session - 5 <br />Anthony would be treated as one entity. There will be another tour in November, which he has signed <br />up for. He will ask if St. Anthony, as a whole, could be part of that program. <br />Mayor Webster suggested discussing the gun violence resolution that other cities have passed. <br />Councilmember Doolan will do some research. Mayor Webster suggested this be discussed at the <br />November 25 Council Work Session. Assistant City Manager Morello asked what the goal would be to <br />discuss that potential resolution. Mayor Webster stated to discuss the steps that can be taken to <br />encourage action at the State and Federal levels. Would other actions, other than a resolution, be more <br />effective? Councilmember Jenson asked how a resolution could be enforced. Councilmember Elnagdy <br />stated that a resolution states the Council’s position. Ms. Morello asked if there would be value in <br />adding more wording to a resolution for St. Anthony or using the resolution that was passed by the <br />other entities. <br />Mayor Webster noted the League of Minnesota Cities has a program where 4th – 6th graders can write in <br />and express if they were mayor for a day, what they would do. She suggested doing something similar in <br />St. Anthony to hear ideas from kids. <br />The next Work Session Meeting will be held on November 10, 2025. <br />Adjournment: <br />Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Doolan, to adjourn the Work Session. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br />7
