CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 25-074 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPLY FOR THE METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES 2026 PRIVATE PROPERTY I/I GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) has identified the City of <br />Saint Anthony Village as one of many metro cities having excessive quantities of <br />stormwater and groundwater, commonly referred to as Inflow and Infiltration (I&I), <br />entering the public sanitary sewer system; and <br />WHEREAS, to facilitate the reduction of I&I across the State of Minnesota, MCES is offering a total <br />of $1.5 million in wastewater revenue to eligible municipalities for the purpose of <br />assisting private property owners in completing repairs to remove and prevent clear water <br />from entering the wastewater treatment system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Sewer Utility has identified private sanitary sewer system components <br />requiring rehabilitation to minimize or eliminate excessive I&I. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of City of Saint Anthony <br />Village, Minnesota approves the following: <br />1) The City is authorized to apply for these grants. <br />2) The City Sustainability Coordinator or their designee is authorized to submit the <br />application and to serve as the primary contact for MCES. <br />3) The Council agrees to remit available grant funding towards the continued <br />minimalization or elimination of excessive I&I within the public sanitary sewer system. <br />4) The City will secure and retain receipts for all eligible repairs and that MCES will have <br />reasonable access to audit these records upon request. <br />Approved this 1 Oa' day of November, 2025. <br />ATTEST:&La�xu <br />Nicole DeDeyn, Cit Jerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Wendy ebster, Mayor <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />
