While on-street parking is allowed, it was not heavily used, with only one car parked on the street during the walk audit. Participants noted they may not have felt comfortable walking in the street with small children or during busier times when there are activities at the church. 33rd Ave NE from Belden Dr NE to Silver Lake Rd NE There is a sidewalk only on the north side of 33rd Ave NE, and it is adjacent to vehicle traffic. It was obstructed by garbage cans out for collection. The sidewalk cross slopes, which match the frequent intersecting driveway slopes, were noted as challenging for people using mobility devices. Children were biking on the sidewalk during the walk audit. 33rd Ave NE & Belden Dr NE There is no dedicated, accessible space for people waiting at the bus stop on the northeast or southwest corners of the intersection. Curb ramps at this intersection (and at residential intersections along 33rd Ave NE) do not have tactile warnings and are generally in poor condition. There are no painted crosswalks. 33rd Ave NE & Silver Lake Rd NE Silver Lake Rd NE is four lanes wide at this crossing location. The traffic signal includes pedestrian push buttons and a pedestrian crossing phase. Participants wondered about the signal timing, noting that there are two preschools nearby and families may need more time to safely navigate the intersection.
