City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />March 24, 2026 <br />Page 3 <br />1 the contract for policing services to the City of Falcon Heights, the size of the department has <br />2 grown from 24 to 33 full-time employees. This increase has exacerbated the current lack of space <br />3 and functionality, requiring an immediate need for a repurpose of space and, soon, considerable <br />4 expansion. Pictures of some of the current conditions were provided. <br />5 <br />6 Three bids were received for Phase 1 of the renovation and expansion project, which is a mild <br />7 repurposing of space. This includes increasing the size of the squad room to accommodate the <br />8 needs of more patrol officers and the addition of office space for a detective and a community <br />9 engagement officer. The front office will also be refreshed to accommodate the addition of an <br />10 office support specialist position. This will result in a reduction in storage space and personal <br />11 offices for patrol sergeants and does not include any furniture. <br />12 <br />13 The lowest responsible bid was received from Greiner Construction of Minneapolis and includes: <br />14 <br />15 Squad Room & Offices $149,898 <br />16 Front Office Area $26,574 <br />17 <br />18 Staff recommends authorization to contract with Greiner Construction to complete these projects <br />19 as described. <br />20 <br />21 A PowerPoint presentation was reviewed in detail. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Jenson stated he is in favor of the proposal. <br />24 <br />25 Councilmember Doolan stated she supports moving forward with this project. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Webster stated she supports moving forward. <br />28 <br />29 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Mayor Webster, to approve Resolution 26-026 – <br />30 A Resolution Authorizing Funding for Phase 1 of Police Department Renovations. <br />31 <br />32 Motion carried 3-0. <br />33 <br />34 X.REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />35 <br />36 City Manager Yunker noted today was the last day for the Public Works Superintendent Josh <br />37 Moellman. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Doolan stated on March 11 that she attended Day on the Hill. On March 16, she <br />40 attended the Ramsey County Active Living Meeting. On March 19, she met with the Met <br />41 Council Land Use Advisory Commission. <br />42 <br />43 Councilmember Jenson stated on March 11 that he attended Day on the Hill. On March 12, he <br />44 attended the Ramsey County Local League of Governments CLAW Meeting via Zoom. On <br />45 March 13, he attended the Ramsey County 911 Center Tour. On March 14, he attended <br />46 Communication with the Council at Wilshire Park. On March 18, he attended the Northeast
