The Council should have a discussion on the <br />2 appropriate use for these funds at a work session to provide staff with direction accordingly. <br />3 <br />4 It was noted that representatives of the Borrower were in attendance at the May 28th City Council <br />5 meeting to respond to questions concerning the proposed bonds. To proceed with the proposed <br />6 bond issue following the public hearing, the Council should adopt the attached resolution <br />7 approving the issuance of the bonds and approving the housing program for the proposed <br />8 development and its financing prepared in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C. <br />10 Mayor Faust invited anyone wishing to address the Council during the public hearing to come <br />11 forward. <br />12 <br />13 There being no additional public input, Mayor Faust closed the public hearing at 7:09 p.m. <br />14 <br />15 Councilmember Stille asked for a comparison to the Landings Project. Ms. Kvilvang explained <br />16 the details of the Landings Project. Councilmember Stille noted the reason this is being done is <br />17 because it is a no risk project for the City and there is an affordability component for the <br />18 residents. The City also receives the $187,500 fee. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Jenson asked if the 1% fee is an adequate amount. Ms. Kvilvang answered in <br />21 the affirmative. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />24 13-043; Giving Preliminary Approval to the Issuance of Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond <br />25 Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapters 462A and 462C, on Behalf of St. Anthony Leased <br />26 Housing Associates II, Limited Partnership. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried unanimously. <br />29 <br />30 V.
