M <br />INTRODUCTION <br />This AGREEMENT is hereby made and entered into between taw Enforcement Labor Services, <br />Inc., hereinafter referred to as the UNION and the City of St. Anthony, a municipal corporation, <br />hereinafter referred to as the EMPLOYER. The intent and purpose of this AGREEMENT is to: <br />1. Establish certain hours, wages and conditions of employment; <br />2. Establish procedures forthe resolution of disputes concerning this AGREEMENT'S <br />interpretation and/or application; <br />3. Specify the full and complete understanding of the parties; and <br />4. Place in written form the parties' AGREEMENT upon terms and conditions of <br />employment for the duration of the AGREEMENT. <br />The EMPLOYE=R and the UNION, through this AGREEMEN r, continue their dedication to the <br />highest quality of public, service. <br />ARTICLE 1: RECOGNITION <br />The EMPLOYER recognizes the UNION as the exclusive representative in matters involving <br />conditions of employment of all essential employees of the City of St. Anthony, Minnesota, who <br />are public employees within the meaning of Minn. Stat. 179A.03, subd. 14, excluding supervisory <br />and confidential employees. <br />ARTICLE 2 UNION SECURITY <br />In recognition of the UNION as the exclusive representative, the EMPLOYER shall <br />Deduct the first pay day of each month an amount sufficient to provide the payment <br />of such dues or fair share established by the UNION to be due and payable, and <br />2. Remit such deduction to the UNION at the earliest practicable date after collection. <br />3. The UNION may designate certain employees from the bargaining unit to act as <br />Stewards and shall inform the EMPLOYER in writing of such choice. <br />4. The UNION agrees to indemnify and hold the EMPLOYER harmless against any <br />and all claims, suits, orders orjudgments brought or issued against the EMPLOYER <br />as a result of any action taken or not taken under the provisions of this Article. <br />1 <br />
