M/ <br />CITY OF ST.ANTHONY <br />ORDINANCE 2005-002 <br />AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COMPENSATION AND BY-LAWS <br />305.01 Character ofPlannina Commission. The Planning Commission of the City is the <br />Planning agency within the meaning of Minn. Stat. §§ 462.351-.365. In such capacity, the <br />Planning Commission will be advisory to the Council. <br />305.02. Mennbership. The Commission will consist of seven members, all of whom will be <br />residents of the City appointed by affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the Council. <br />Three members were appointed for a three-year term expiring December 31, 1985, two members <br />were appointed for a two-year term expiring Decembcr 31, 1984, and two members were <br />appointed for a one-year term expiring December 31, 1983. <br />All subsequent appointments or renewals will be for a three-year term except where a vacancy <br />occurs in the middle of a term, in which case the appointment will be for the duration of the <br />unexpired term. <br />A member whose term is expiring must be notified by the city Manager 60 days in advance of <br />expiration of the term, and the member must indicate in writing his or her desire to be <br />reappointed to another term. <br />305.03. Vacancies. Any of the following will cause the office of a Planning Commission <br />member to become vacated: <br />(a) Death. <br />(b) Disability or failure to serve. <br />(c) Removal of legal residence from the City. <br />(d) Resignation in writing. <br />(c) Failure to uphold the oath of office. <br />Failure to attend 4 or more scheduled meetings of the 'Planning Commission in a <br />calendar year, unless waived by the Council after a written request from the <br />member. <br />The City will publish an open invitation to all residents interested in serving on the Planning <br />commission to inform the City Manager in writing of their interest and desire to be interviewed. <br />305.04 Compensation. Planning Commission members will-sers�c�out-c-ompensakican shall <br />be compensated at $25.00 per month. The compensation will be effective January 1, 2005. <br />
