By allowing catering activities as a permitted conditional use, it will give the City the ability to place conditions on this use to protect the community and the public using tlxese proposed catering facilities. Because the City's zoning ordiincunce did not allow this use .in the Industrial Zoning District, the. RJEO 49 requested that the Ordinance at Section 1640.03 be amended to allow catering as a permitted conditional. use in the Industrial Zoning District. At their August 23rd. meeting, the City Council approved the text amendment -and after the required reading, the amended ordinance was published in the City's legal newspaper, :making it effective. Mr. Refiners is now requesting a public hearing to consider granting IUOE 49 a conditional use permit for their catering services. Proposed Conditions: 1.) All parking must be contained to on-site parking hots. 1) .'The Applicant must abide by and comply with all regulations imposed by the Hennepin. County Public health and the State of Minnesota. 3.) `There will be no cooking of food one on site. Food may be warmed and prepared inasmuch as to ready it for serving. 4.) The Applicant will be responsible for the conduct of caterer, employees of the caterer, the clients using the catering facilities and the conditions of sobriety and order on the premises. 5.)
