CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />RESOLUTION 06-039 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID TO ASSIST <br />THE CITY TO PREPARE AN UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN AS <br />REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, On September 12, 2005 the City of St. Anthony received a letter from. the <br />Metropolitan Council advising the City is being required to submit a <br />Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update, which also needs to address issues as <br />identified by the Met Council's 2030 Regional Development Framework that may <br />impact the City's transportation, water resources management and regional <br />parks plans; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff prepared and sent out eight Request for Proposals for the City of St. <br />Anthony's Comprehensive Plan Update, with three firms, Loucks Associates, <br />McCombs Frank Roos Associates, inc. and Toltz, King, Duvall and Anderson <br />(TKDA) responding with a proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, These three firms were invited to present their proposals and respond to <br />questions in a panel interview; and <br />WHEREAS, The panel considered the materials presented, the responses received from each <br />firm and each proposed budget; and <br />WHEREAS, The panel selected the firm of McCombs Frank Roos Associates, Inc to <br />recommend to the City Council as having the most comprehensive proposal, <br />demonstrating the most experience in working through the comprehensive plan <br />update process and having the most responsible bid of $44,410; and <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby <br />authorizes the hiring of the firm McCombs Frank Roos Associates, Inc. . <br />to work with the Task Force and City Staff in the preparation and submission of <br />the City's Comprehensive Plan to the Metropolitan Council. <br />Adopted this 11thday of April, 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Mayor <br />City Manager <br />38 <br />
