The first change is a wording
change from "gambling lease" to "gambling license." The second wording change is from
"acknowledges" to "approves" gambling license.

Mr. Steve Peterson, President of the Northeast Lions Club, and a resident of St. Anthony,
addressed the Council. He believes, 'after discussions with the Sports Boosters, that they really
do not want to get into the gambling business. He proposed the Lions operate the gambling and
share the revenue. The proposal is to split everything over $1,000 with the Sports Boosters to do
with as they wish.

Councilmember Thuesen asked if this is agreeable to the Sports Boosters, Lions and the St.
Anthony Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Peterson said in the interest of accounting, the Lions
would prefer to give the 50 percent to one organization and they will disburse it as they
determine appropriate.

Councilmember Gray explained that the three organizations will act as a gambling committee
and decide as a group of three how the money will be distributed. The money will be donated to
charitable contributions.

Councilmember Horst asked if it was Councilmember Gray's understanding e that the Sports
p
Boosters had final approval over charitable contributions.
