City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />August 8, 2006 <br />Page 10 <br />1 Councilmember Gray reported attending several National Night Out parties also. He thanked the <br />2 residents who organized the parties and those who attended. He stated there were 3 5 parties . <br />3 throughout St Anthony. Councilmember Gray thanked Councilmember Horst everyone on that <br />4 committee for the good work on Village Fest. <br />5 <br />Councilmember Horst reported the sculpture for Solo Park would be set in mid September. He <br />replied, in response to marching bands, most bands charge for their services. He indicated he. <br />would pass on the request. Councilmember Horst reported this was the biggest Village Fest they <br />have had. He expressed special thanks to: Julie Ann Hunter, Communications; Kathy Mayfield, <br />Parade Coordinator; Kim Motzel, Silent Auction; Joleen Hodson, Ping Pang; Dave and Lisa <br />Zurbey, Pop Cans; Diane Sparks, Food Vendors, and a special thanks to sponsors: St. Anthony <br />Mobile, Fitness Crossroads and Culvers. Councilmember Horst stated no road construction is <br />scheduled for next year so plan to have another great Village Fest. He is always looking for new <br />volunteers. <br />16 Mayor Faust extended his thanks to Councilmember Horst and the Village Fest volunteers. He <br />17 reported this was a great Village Fest. Mayor Faust thanked the Chamber of Commerce for <br />18 hosting a golf tournament, the Kiwanis for the pancake breakfast and Staff for their work with <br />19 the Community. <br />20 <br />21 Mayor Faust also reported attending several National Night Out parties. Mayor Faust stated this <br />22 was a great opportunity to meet the neighbors. <br />23 <br />24 Mayor Faust asked everyone to go to the St. Anthony website and look at the official rain gage. <br />25 <br />26 VIII, COM UNITY FORD . <br />27 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward and address the Council on items not on the <br />28 regular agenda. <br />29 <br />30 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />31 <br />32 Ix.
