He stated <br />5 everyone did a good job working together cooperatively between departments to make the <br />6 budget fair. <br />7 <br />8 Mayor Faust noted the reason a notice did not go out last year was be because there was not an <br />9 increase to the levy. He stated he believes the budget is good, solid and would assure core <br />10 services citizens have come to expect would be available. <br />11 <br />12 Motion carried unanimously. <br />13 <br />14 B. Resolution 06-073; Amendingthe h�ty Council meeting schedule for the second Tuesday <br />15 in December and replacing with the second Monday. <br />16 <br />17 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes explained the truth -in -taxation hearing would be held on <br />18 Monday, December 4, 2006 because, by law, it could not be held at any time a County School <br />19 Board would have the City cannot hold its truth in taxation meeting on the same day as the <br />20 county or school board holds theirs. She mentioned it would be indicated on the truth -in -taxation <br />21 notice and also on channel 16. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Horst, to approve Resolution 06- <br />24 073; Amending the City Council meeting schedule for the second Tuesday in December and <br />25 replacing with the second Monday. <br />26 <br />27 Motion carried unanimously. <br />28 <br />29 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br />30 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes reported she and City Manager Mornson met with the <br />31 Lowry Grove Association representatives and the owners of Lowry Grove to present the first <br />32 draft of a park closing ordinance. She indicated the first reading before the City Council would <br />33 be October 11, 2006. <br />34 <br />35 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes stated the Comprehensive Plan Task Force would meet <br />36 September 13, 2006 to further discuss the update required by State of Minnesota. <br />37 <br />38 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes stated she and City Manager Mornson met with North <br />39 Suburban Cable Commission to talk about the Commission's proposal for a feasibility study to <br />40 determine the extent of the N -Net and wireless infrastructure that would be capable of supporting <br />41 new and emerging technology like WiFi. <br />42 <br />43 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes reported she received information from Ramsey County on <br />44 the compost agreement and they are interested in continuing the agreement. She stated she also <br />45 received a phone call from John, Ramsey County Public and Environmental Health Supervisor <br />46 who said they are interested in continuing the Joint Powers Agreement with the City.
