Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. Meeting Minutes <br />December 4, 2006 <br />Page 4 <br />1 <br />City Manager Mornson reported St. Anthony received donations from businesses and civic <br />2 <br />organizations. He stated Wal-Mart donated $3,000 to the Police Department, which was used to <br />3 <br />fund the Citizen's Academy and $2,500 to the Fire Department, that financed the purchase of <br />4 <br />tools, equipment, and training aids. He reported the Kiwanis donated $250.00 for Police <br />5 <br />training. <br />6 <br />7 <br />City Manager Mornson reported Staff did a very nice job of securing grants for the City. He <br />8 <br />stated civic donations and grants amounted to $247,950. He explained previous grant funding <br />9 <br />and the 2006 civic donations and grants have amounted to $8,251,011. He pointed out this <br />10 <br />equates to $1,025 for every resident.
