CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />RESOLUTION 07-027 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SILVERWOOD PARK <br />PARKING PLAN AS OUTLINED IN THE OCTOBER 2006 <br />SILVERWOOD PARK PARKING STUDY <br />WHEREAS, The Three Rivers Park District is preparing to redevelop Silverwood Park, <br />formerly known as the Salvation Army Camp, into a public park and <br />nature study area; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 5, 2006 representatives from Three Rivers Park District and <br />their consultants met with City staff to review the site redevelopment <br />plan and it was determined that the zoning for this parcel is appropriate, <br />but that the Park lacked adequate parking for events attracting large <br />numbers of visitors to the Park; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff advised the Three Rivers Park Staff that they are required <br />pursuant to the City Ordinance, Section 1650.05, Subd. 1, (e)(11) to <br />present a parking plan that provided overflow parking contingencies to <br />the Planning Commission for review and to the City Council for <br />consideration and approval; and <br />WHEREAS, The Three Rivers Park District Staff completed a parking study for <br />Silverwood Park and presented it to the Planning Commission at their <br />regularly scheduled meeting on January 16, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the parking plan at its regularly scheduled <br />meeting on February 13, 2007; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of St. <br />Anthony has approved the Silverwood Park Parking Plan and Study as <br />submitted pursuant to the City Ordinance, Section 1650.05, Subd. 1, <br />(e)(11) by the Three Rivers Park staff and consultants. <br />Adopted this 13th day of February, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Mayor Pro Tem <br />City Manager <br />35 <br />
