HuGmer, PE' <br />Date: Jammy 3, 2007 <br />Re: Revisioits to City Ordinance Section 4.10 - Water System, Section 605 - Sewer, <br />and Section 61.0 - Water <br />It is proposed to amend Chapter 4 and Chapter 6 of the City code to reflect changes related to <br />replacement of the water meters and the card reading system in St, Anthony Village. The <br />attached Ordinance 07-001 has all the proposed changes to the City code outlined for your <br />review. <br />The Ordinance changes reflect the following changes to the City's water system and billing <br />system. <br />Meters will now be read electronically by the City and will eliminate the need for <br />utility cards and residents to read their own meters. <br />2. The City will no longer record water usage in cubic feet of water used. The City is <br />converting to measure water use in gallons. <br />The water rates for 2007, under the existing Ordinance, would be $1.93 per 100 cubic <br />feet of water used. This has been converted to a rate of $0.0026 per gallon. <br />4. The minimum charge for water usage will go from $19.30 (1,000 cubic feet) to <br />$19.50 (7,500 gallons). The minimum bill will increase by .20 cents as a result of <br />rounding associated with the conversion of the system from cubic feet to gallons. <br />This concludes the report on the proposed Ordinance for amending Chapter 4 and Chapter 6 of <br />the City code.
