He stated there were many positive comments from people who had never been to a <br />Chamber meeting before. <br />Councilmember Stille reported that on April 19, 2007 he attended the Family Services <br />Collaborative Quarterly Meeting. He stated they discussed the use of the Pavilion in conjunction <br />with Community Services and other teams on a supervised basis. He commented money from <br />the Collaborative does not go to pay for the supervision; however, the kids would be chipping in <br />and doing some fundraising. <br />Mayor Faust reported that on April 18, 2007 he attended the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Insurance Trust Safety and Loss workshop. He stated that because of St. Anthony's involvement <br />with the League of Minnesota Cities, it is able to have representatives evaluate the city for <br />potential liabilities. I -Ie stated he is an advocate of this workshop at the League Board, and after <br />presenting it, the Mayor of Rochester told his City Administrator and staff should attend. <br />Mayor attended the Chamber dinner. He stated it is an opportunity to thank the individuals and <br />businesses that give back to the community. He commented some provide scholarships to the <br />school each year. He stated that any time people learn about it, it is a positive impact. <br />Mayor April 19 attended League of Minnesota Cities Board Meeting. He stated there is <br />currently legislation regarding broadband that the League is behind this and where the state <br />wants to go across the state. Mayor Faust gave a historical account of RBA in the 1930's. He <br />commented this is moving along well within the legislature. <br />Mayor Faust reported that on April 21, 2007 he was invited to the Edgewater Park to look at how <br />pervious concrete is used at the park. He stated it is one small step to getting the Mississippi <br />River back to the people. <br />Mayor Faust passed on that he saw in the paper that Stillwater is monitoring loud noises from <br />motor cycles. He passed the information on to City manager Morrison to research as part of the <br />Code of Ordinances in St. Anthony. <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items not <br />on the regular agenda. <br />Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />5 <br />
