CITY OF ST. ANTHONY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION No. 07-054 RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE DRAFT 2008 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE FOR SUBMISSION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND RE -SUBMISSION OF THE DRAFT 2008 COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN TO ADJACENT CITIES, COUNTIES, WATERSHED DISTRICTS AND SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony is required by Minnesota Statutes 473.864, Subds. I & 2 and 473.175 to complete and submit an update to its Comprehensive Land Use Plan to the Metropolitan Council every ten (10) years; and WHEREAS, the City Council oversaw the preparation of a draft of the City's 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan and directed submission of this draft document it to the City's adjacent governmental units, school district and watershed organizations; and WHEREAS, the review and comment period of six (6) months for the adjacent governmental units, school district and watershed organizations has expired as of July 2, 2007; and WHEREAS, the Plamung Commission held a public hearing on July 17, 2008 to provide for a formal review of the draft 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan and forwarded a recommendation for preliminary approval to the City Council; and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony does hereby provide Preliminary Approval of the draft of the City's 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update; and THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony does hereby submit to the Metropolitan Council and resubmit to adjacent governmental units, school district and watershed districts the Preliminary Approved draft of the City's 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update for the required 120 -day review and comment period as required by the Minnesota State Statutes 473.854 and 473.858 .
