He commented the City must work with Village Fest on <br />the hours for Sunday. He recommended 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Gray commented 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. seemed reasonable. <br />Mayor Faust stated at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday the helicopter rides stop, no matter how many people <br />are in line. He asked Councilmember Gray to take this back to the Village Fest Committee. <br />Councilmember Stille reported attending the ribbon cutting for Wells Fargo Bank on Friday, July <br />20, 2007 <br />Councilmember Thuesen reported he completed an elected official's leadership academy <br />sponsored through the Anoka Ramsey Community College. <br />Councilmember Thuesen reported he was on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee and <br />thanked everyone for diverse views, opinions, and for their contributions. <br />Mayor Faust reported he attended the League of Minnesota Cities Board meeting on June 26, <br />2007. He stated St. Anthony is held in high regard and consequently given more attention by the <br />League of Minnesota Cities. He stated it gives him the opportunity to bring back information <br />from other cities. He commented on the Broadband Taskforce. <br />Mayor Faust reported the City hosted the Middle Mississippi Water Organization on July 10, <br />2007. He stated this is another organization that continues to help the City. <br />Mayor Faust reported he attended Futures Fiscal Policy meeting July 11, 2007. He commented <br />St. Anthony did not receive any local government aid (LGA); however, they receive 17 percent <br />of the City's budget from liquor store off sale. He stated there is a commonality that cities are in <br />this together and should support each other. <br />Mayor Faust reported Representative Grieling spoke to the Chamber of Commerce July 17, 2007 <br />about the legislative process and the $400,000 she received for the school. He stated the <br />Chamber works with the City, community, and the school and the Local 49ers union. <br />Mayor Faust reported attending the League of Minnesota's Board retreat July 18-20, 2007 to set <br />up a three-year plan. He commented on the good cooperation between cities, counties, and <br />schools. <br />COMMUNITY FORUM <br />Mr. Tom Fahrenholz, 4009 Shamrock Drive Nr, stated word on the street is Wal-Mart is <br />leaving. <br />Mayor Faust stated he had heard that rumor; however, he has not received any confirmation. <br />
