The applicants <br />presented the proposed text amendment to the Planning Commission in a concept review at the August 21, 2007 <br />Planning Commission meeting. Staff sent the proposed text amendment to the City Attorney for his review and <br />comments. The proposed text amendment was considered at a public hearing during the September 18, 2007 <br />Planning Commission meeting. The text amendment was recommended for approval by the Planning <br />Commission. <br />The applicant presented the proposed text amendment to the City Council on September 25, 2007 for Council <br />action. The Council moved the first reading and requested it back before the City Council for a second reading <br />at the October 9, 2007 City Council meeting. <br />If the proposed language change is approved, it will allow daycare centers to be a permitted conditional use in <br />the Industrial zoning district and this use will require an approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP). <br />Staff received no calls or emails opposing this text amendment. <br />Attachments: <br />Text Amendment Proposal <br />10092007 Dayeare Text Amendment 2nd reading <br />
