Ordinance 07-055; Single Sort Rec cling (Second Readiva) <br />15 <br />16 City Manager Morrison reported that in September 2006, the City Council adopted an ordinance <br />17 allowing single -sort recycling in St. Anthony for twelve (12) months as a pilot program. He <br />18 explained the City Council wanted to see how well the community accepted this change in <br />19 collecting recyclables, if this method was efficient in its collection of recyclables, and effective <br />20 in maintaining or increasing recycling efforts within the community. <br />21 <br />22 Councilmember Gray inquired whether emails or calls were received since the last meeting. <br />23 <br />24 City Manager Mornson replied none had been received. <br />25 <br />26 Mayor Faust imparted comments he heard from residents. He stated he was not concerned about <br />27 the tonnage amount, as it might no longer be a good metric. <br />28 <br />29 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Ordinance <br />30 07-005, an Ordinance approving Chapter 555 of the City Ordinance, Single Sort Recycling, <br />31 Second Reading. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried unanimously. <br />34 <br />35 VII.
