ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 January 22, 2008 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 CALL TO ORDER <br />7 <br />8 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />10 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />13 <br />14 ROLL CALL <br />15 <br />16 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Roth, Stille, and Thuesen <br />17 Absent: None <br />18 Also Present: City Manager Mike Mornson and City Clerk Barbara Suciu <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />22 ITEMS: <br />23 <br />24 I. APPROVAL OF JANUARY 22, 2008 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA <br />25 <br />26 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve the City <br />27 Council Meeting Agenda of January 8, 2008 as amended. <br />28 <br />29 Motion carried unanimously (5/0) <br />30 <br />31 IL PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />32 <br />33 A. Recognition of Tom Keith, Principal of St. Anthony High School for receiving the Silver <br />34 Ranking from U.S. News and World Report <br />35 <br />36 Mayor Faust presented Mr. Tom Keith, Principal, with the 2008 "America's Best High Schools" <br />37 Silver Medal Ranking from the US News and World Report. He stated St. Anthony is in the top <br />38 500 schools in the nation. <br />39 <br />40 Mr. Keith addressed Council and expressed his gratitude for the support from the community, the <br />41 school staff, parents, and City staff. <br />42 <br />43 Mayor Faust pointed out that St. Anthony has a very well rounded curriculum. He stated that <br />44 without a strong school system, St. Anthony would not be the city it is. <br />45 <br />46 IIL CONSENT AGENDA. <br />47 <br />48 A.
